Pay rate: $40/hr , maybe more for the right candidate
** Active Top Secret Clearance required
**Key skills will be mechanical skills (installing delicate hardware,) leadership skills, and ability to drive projects to completion. Experience on resume should be relevant to the position. Aviation, aircraft, military experience helpful, and should be represented on resume. Work will perform critical handling of delicate electro/mechanical hardware.
During interview manager will explore leadership skills and mechanical skills as it relates to candidates experience. If experience is in heavy machinery, or composite/structural, this will not apply.

Hardware is more delicate, so that exp is more in line w/ nature of the work. Will need computer skills as are now on a paperless system.
Work as a mechanical technician on all aspects of mechanical build and processing of satellites. The candidate will acquire necessary skills on-the-job under the tutelage of senior technicians and engineers. Support mechanical leads and senior engineers on the installation of extremely fragile space hardware such as avionic boxes, cables, and waveguide. Support and maintain work areas up to company ESD, FOD and 5S standards. Should be willing to work off shift hours, weekends, and/or overtime as needed in order to maintain production schedule.

- Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of tools and mechanical equipment. - Knowledge of basic Excel, Word, Powerpoint, general computer handling, and Tool Control required. - Ability and initiative to tackle and understand new technical and engineering designs. - Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and BOM's. - Ability to demonstrate general technical knowledge in manufacturing including interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams. - Ability to identify issues, escalate to appropriate channels, and implement solutions after engineering review to routine process problems of limited scope. - Ability to work with diverse team, take constructive feedback from senior technicians, engineers and QA support personnel. - Experience with working inside Clean Rooms, The candidate must be a U.S Citizen and shall possess technical training equivalent to an Associate Degree and at least five 5 years of related experience as a mechanical technician
