Pay rate: $30- $35/hr W2

PAYROLL ANALYST. Looking for someone to commit to this role until the end of 2019.

**Key skills include: payroll processing background, analytical mindset, problem solving skills, understanding of company policies/compliance, time and labor exp., Excel. PeopleSoft, accounting, and tax exp a plus.
MUST have a background in payroll. 
Should be customer service oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. **During the interview, will be asked about payroll background, # of emps supported and if they have union exp. Emps have mix of hourly, salary, and union workers. Will be asked about payroll processing exp, exp w/ W-4s, Direct Deposit, and Time and Labor systems. Will ask about short term disability program exp, tax update testing (PeopleSoft testing exp a plus)** Team will be ~7 ppl (2 payroll analysts, 2 payroll specialist, 2 tax analysts and the payroll Mgr. Position is "replacing" teammate whose duties have been reallocated. Person still available to assist w/ training and q's. **

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following outlines the duties and responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst
• Assist in the calculation and distribution of payments for assigned pay groups for bonuses, terminations, new hires, and leaves, etc.
• Calculation and communication of overpayments, collections and updates.
• Calculation and request of payment for payroll related deductions.
• Monitor, review and analyze the court orders, child support, levies and writs, assuring that all legal and compliance actions are in place.
• Calculate and print off-cycle checks, distribute related reports.
• Process enrollment forms for company sponsored non-benefit deduction plans, direct deposits, and W-4 changes.
• Research and initiate communications for unclaimed payroll checks.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
For individuals to be successful in this position, they should have the following acquired and proven education and experience:
Educations/Certifications: (list both minimum and preferred requirements)
• High School diploma, post-secondary education desired.
Experience: (list both minimum and preferred requirements)
• Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
• PeopleSoft payroll experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
